Eligibility:

Now, in addition to her personal platform, Miss America will also serve as a goodwill ambassador for Children's Miracle Network. This new national platform will provide Miss America titleholder competitors the opportunity to not only raise funds and awareness for her personal platform but also for Children's Miracle Network thus maximizing her exposure and impact during her year of service.
What does this mean to you on the local level?
Service, one of the four points of the crown, has always been important to contestants striving for the opportunity to be Miss America. To build on this, contestants competing at any level in the Miss America system will now be required to raise a minimum of $100 to support Children's Miracle Network and the Miss America Scholarship Fund. This is NOT an entrance fee, but rather a new service requirement, by the Miss America Organization, Inc., to participate in Miss America sponsored pageants.
The Miss America Organization, Inc. service requirement, will not only continue the Miss America Organization's legacy of service and scholarship assistance, but also raise funds and awareness for Children's Miracle Network.
To assist you in the new Miss America requirement, the Miss America Organization and Children's Miracle Network have developed a website which you will use to raise donations. Along with completing the application forms below, you will need to CLICK HERE, which will lead you to a new page further explaining directions on how to log on to the new MAO/CMN website which will assist you in the creation of your own personal fund raising web page.
Entry Fee:
The Miss Sagamore Valley and Miss South Central Scholarship Program does NOT require an entry fee to compete; however, in order to be eligible you must meet all requirements as outlined above, under platform, by the Miss America Organization, Inc.
Silent Auction:
In an effort to raise additional scholarship funding, the Miss Sagamore Valley and Miss South Central Program conducts a Silent Auction during the pageant. Each contestant competing for the title(s) of Miss Sagamore Valley and Miss South Central is requested to donate a silent auction item, which will be used to raise funds for scholarships to be awarded. Silent auction items should be valued at $25.00 or greater. See Contestant Forms.
Ad Sales:
Each contestant competing for the title(s) of Miss Sagamore Valley and Miss South Central is requested to obtain at least one advertisement. See Contestant Forms.
Applicant Forms:
Listed below are links which enable you to obtain a general cover letter, job description, and contestant forms. You may download these letters and forms. You should then complete, print and submit the required forms and documentation to the Miss Sagamore Valley/South Central Scholarship Program, Inc. via U.S. Mail. If, for any reason, you are unable to open these forms, please email us at mascspi@sbcglobal.net, for a hardcopy to be mailed directly to you.
Note: Applications must be submitted along with a 5x7 color head shot. Deadline for applications is: MARCH 7, 2009.
